My army set ups

Toy army set up on coffee table

I am really into army games, which I don’t think you know about me. Recently I’ve been making set ups with my toy tanks and people and I thought I’d post some pictures here. Here they are:

This is a photo of three of my armoured vehicles which include: one wheeled LAV (light armoured vehicle), one M4 Sherman, and one Challenger 2 tank, and infantry riding on them and walking next to them.

A resource that I love so much for learning about tank battles – which are mostly from World War II – is a really good documentary series called Greatest Tank Battles. In these episodes they have veterans who speak about their experiences in some of the fiercest tank battles of the second world war as well as quite a few modern era tank battles. Here is a link to the series, which was made by the Military Channel.

Here is a YouTube video of one of my favourite episodes, The Battle of the Bulge (in our version at home we have an American voiceover instead of British, but the interviews are all the same):

Here is a YouTube video of one of my favourite modern day battles from the first Gulf War in 1991:

I find these documentaries very interesting for the chance to hear these veterans speak and what they have seen and experienced. It is very interesting and I learn a lot of history. Here are all of my photos:
